It’s called style for a reason.
You can change your style to fit in, but it’s called style for a reason. So often in school, at church and most social situations. You have the option to either fit in or be fully yourself. For girls who are in high school and middle school, this is a big deal.
Honestly, sometimes it’s easier to fit in. I mean why not just be what everyone else wants you to be so they’ll like you? Except that they won’t like you. They’ll only like the fake you, especially if you change who you are to fit in.
It’s funny how some girls will insist they are unique and their own person. Then go out and buy exactly the same outfit, makeup, purses, and shoes as every other girl in their friend group. Look you can change who you are, how you dress and how you act to fit in.
But it’s call style for a reason. Be yourself. Be confident. Be the person you are happiest being and the people who are your true friends will find you. You don’t want to hang around people who don’t like you for you anyway. If they insist you change who you are then they aren’t really true friends.
Don’t get me wrong you should always be willing to better yourself. Your style is uniquely you and it’s called style for a reason. No one else likes exactly the same things as you do and no one else is the same as you in every way. “You were beautifully and wonderfully made” according to Psalm 139:14. So rock your style because nobody wears it better than you.
