Top 3 Skills

Last night before I went to bed I asked myself 3 questions.

1. Did I feed the cats?

2. Did I turn out the living room lights?

And 3. What are my top 3 skills that create value for myself and others?

So here is the answer to the third question.

#1. Creative Design

I am proficient in and have been involved in a number of creative endeavors. Including creating videos, music, art, graphics, and photography.

I created t-shirts for events. Worked on multiple murals. Designed this website. Taken photos for my church and had those pictures featured on the church’s social media accounts. As well as created videos for both my youtube channel and Original Path (a resource for homeschoolers I work with).

Creating beautiful things is one of my passions and being able to share that with others is even more amazing!

#2. Writing

I have always loved writing when I was in 3rd grade I won 1st place in the Reading Rainbow writing contest with a story I wrote about a cat who wanted to vote. At the age of 19, I wrote, illustrated and published my own book on Amazon. Now my book has hit one of Amazon’s best-seller lists. I also run this blog where I post about life lessons and inspirational topics.

Writing isn’t always the easiest thing in the world but I am good at it and I definitely enjoy it.

#3. Drive

Whether it’s at the summer camp I’m on staff at during the summer or the art studio I work at, I am always looking at what I can do and what needs to be done next. I finished whipping down tables now the bathroom needs to be cleaned? “No problem!” Next, the camp store needs to be cleaned and restocked? “Cool, I’m on it!” Does someone need more pink paint? “Done.” I am constantly looking for more ways to go above and beyond to create value and get as much done as possible every day.

So then I remembered that I did feed the cats and that I did turn out the living room lights and I finally fell asleep knowing all my questions were answered.
