Little Acts of Love
So yesterday I wrote a blog post about How to Make an Origami Butterfly. Today I am going to show you what I do with them. Yesterday I made one out of a sticky note. Most of the time I’ll make the butterflies out of candy wrappers or the tin from pieces of gum.
A small fact about me is that one of my major love languages is gifts. So, unless I’m home I normally won’t keep the little paper butterflies. I like to give them away. It’s my little act of love to the people around me. It probably doesn’t seem like much. I honestly don’t know how many people keep them longer than a day, but it always makes people smile when I say they can have it. Life can be hard, and you never know what your small acts of love can do to make someone’s day better. I don’t remember when I decided to start doing this, but it is such a simple and enjoyable act from making the delicate bug to seeing my friend’s happy faces. Little acts of love are always worth it.
How often do you go out of your way to share a little act of love? Do you have your own metaphorical paper butterfly? If so let me know what that is, in the comments below. If not, here are a few ideas to help you share some little acts of your own.
- Keep a set of an extra stick, sticky notes and a pencil in your car or office and leave little notes for people. (Example say you like someone’s hair or they are always smiling let them know you noticed)
- Choose your own origami piece (I know some easy ones are frogs, rabbits, fish, birds, hearts and of course butterflies)
- Pay for coffee for the person behind you. (This can make someone’s day)
There are many other ways to show little acts of love these are just a few! I hope you enjoyed this post! Don’t forget if you have a little way you show love to others let me know about in the comments I’d really enjoy hearing about those!
