Inbox Kitten Critique
Here is a short critique of a landing page I found. (Sorry about the poor audio quality the microphone choice was out of my control)
- First Impression? I thought this was a subscription box.
- What was unclear? Honestly everything. From the first picture, the title looked like InkBox Kitten, not Inbox Kitten. I also had a hard time figuring out what the actual product was once I realized it wasn’t a subscription box. The only reason I realized what the product was is because I had heard of something similar yesterday.
- What did they do well? I like the puns they’re cute!
- What questions do you still have? How does it work? Why should I put my email in? Why is your service valuable? What does the subscriber get when they put their email in?
- Do you feel drawn to click/subscribe? I felt drawn to the first click to get on to the page but after that, I had no desire to take action. There was no real value shown. They didn’t show why I should.
- How would you improve this site? A. Show me would be useful. I know that sort of thing can be my brother used one yesterday maybe give an example? B. Keep the puns C. Improve the first click picture and font so that there is no confusion. D. Explain what an open source disposable email is because normal people won’t understand that technical speak. You don’t want to confuse the people who come to your site because they’ll just leave and that doesn’t help anyone.
