How to Not Make Bad Decisions
Why do we make bad decisions? Well, there are lots of reasons. Often it can be as simple as a physical thing. Like lack of sleep. Today I am bringing you how to reduce the number of bad decisions you make!
It’s actually pretty simple. Never make a decision when you’re tired, hungry or lonely.
Tired. Let’s think about this for a second. If tired driving can give you the same effect as being drunk and driving I don’t think you really want to make important decisions while tired. Imagine trying to make an important decision while drunk. Bad idea! This one just seems like common sense but we often forget it. Lack of sleep doesn’t help anyone least of all you! Get some rest!
Hungry. There’s a reason we have a slang word called hangery! But did you know it’s actually a scientific concept? When you’re hungry your body is low on blood sugar which can make you sad, sluggish, easily angered or annoyed and more. If you feel like throwing things or you want to cry and you don’t know why take a second and see if you’re hungry.
Lonely. This my friends is how one night stands happen or how people get into unhealthy relationships. Feeling lonely is perfectly normal but making a decision because you are lonely is how you get yourself into trouble. The way to prevent this from being a problem is to be in touch with your feelings enough to ask yourself do I really like this person or am I just lonely? It’s better to be lonely than to be in an unhealthy lie you call a relationship.
There you go! If you stick to making sure you never make a decision while you’re hungry, tired, and lonely. You’ll be in a pretty good spot to avoid most stupid situations! I hope you enjoyed this post and who knows maybe this is a new life policy you just adopted! Have a great day!
