How to Rock a 30-Day Blog Challenge
Within the last 2 years, I have successfully completed 2, 30-day blogging challenges and even extended one to 60-days. So today I am here to give you tips on how you can complete a 30-day blog challenge of your own! Here we go!
- If you have a thought write it down! There is nothing more frustrating than having an idea of what you want to write about next and then totally blanking when the time comes to put it into words! I keep a note in my phone, in notebooks and even on in a sketchbook if that’s what’s within reach when I think of something.
- Don’t be too much of a perfectionist. Nothing kills inspiration like trying to make it fit into a perfect little box.
- Grammarly. This is a writer’s best friend! It doesn’t catch all everything but what it doesn’t catch a proofread from a friend, parent or significant other probably will.
- Don’t go to sleep. Okay, that sounds like I’m saying sleep is for the weak or something. I’m not, sleep is important! What I’m saying is even if it’s 3 AM and you are having trouble keeping your eyes open just write something and hit publish. If you need to put a bible verse or a quote up. Just commit to not going to sleep every night before you’ve posted.
- Have Fun! Enjoy the challenge. This is here to help you grow! The more you write the better you’ll get. Have fun practice storytelling, find exercises and more the possibilities are endless!
- Just start! Never be afraid to publish your work. I hear a lot of people say things like “oh what is people judge me?” Or “I don’t want to start until everything is exactly how I want it.” This is straight up stupid honestly. Here’s the deal there will never be a time when everything is exactly how you want it. Grow while you go, my friend. Fix things as they come up and just produce. Taking action is key here.
There you go! I hope you enjoyed this post and that it helped you! Until next time have an amazing day!
