How I Made A Video Every Day For 31 Days (Praxis Project Month 2)
You might be wondering how have I was able to stay on track with my schedule? This was my workflow for each day: In the beginning, most of my actual filming happened in the evenings. The next day is when I edited the video clips all together, upload the video and publish it on my channel. Then I made some posts on my Instagram and Facebook pages letting people know they exist. By the time I’ve finished that it’s time to pick a new video topic for the next day and begin again. As the month progressed about halfway through I ended up starting to come up with ideas, film and edit each video the day I released it to YouTube. By week 4 I decided to get a bit ahead of the month once again so I challenged myself to create 9 videos in 3 days without sacrificing any quality so I could finish up my last few videos before October was over.
In order to make each video, I had to come up with an idea of what to draw. Then I had to design a good but simple enough piece of art that anyone could follow my instructions as I taught them. Once I finished that I would set up my camera, the lighting, clear off my desk of extra clutter and start the actual filming. Once that was done I’d move to the laptop to start editing. I would cut, speed up and adjust clips as needed. Last I’d add background music and play with the volume so it was loud enough to hear but not too distracting. Then it was time to upload. I’d create a thumbnail image while it was uploading most of the time. Plus add a description, tags and the proper title. There you go, that is the process I used to make almost every video I uploaded this month.
