Making Big Decisions

Welcome to graduation session! A time when you feel like you should know what you’re doing because you technically just accomplished something very big. But in reality, someone just handed you a piece of paper, patted you on the back and said: “You’re an adult now. Figure it out.” (Let’s be honest this description works for both college and high school)

Great…

Fear not, my friend! I’m here to add to the mountain of advice you’ve probably already received. Don’t worry this advice is actually helpful.

So let’s jump right in!

The first point I have today is: Focus on what’s keeping you going and go with your gut! No one knows you better than yourself. So do the things that give you hope. The things that make you come alive. At the very least excite you! Not everything in life is going to be fun or excite you. But that’s where the second part of this point comes in. Go with your gut. If something is going to totally demotivate you than don’t do it. Losing momentum is not fun and it can be hard to get it back. If you have a strategy that’s logical to get to where you want to be in life then your next step is to focus and take the opportunities that come along the way.

But what if you don’t know what you want and you don’t have a plan? So that brings me to my second point: You don’t know what you don’t know so why not try something? If you don’t have a plan and don’t know “what you want to do” Then just go try something or try a bunch of things! You’re young, nobody expects you to know exactly what you want or even who you are yet. So go learn everything you can. The more experiences you have the better off you’ll be. Plus then you’ll probably have some pretty interesting stories to tell later.

I don’t know exactly what your life is like or the choices you have in front of you but the two points I shared today should pretty much cover any situation.

But just in case it didn’t I have another blog post that can help you avoid making bad decisions CLICK HERE.
