Who Do You Want To Be?

Lately a topic that has come up a lot in the influences I’ve been listening to is; who do you want to be?

I’ve semi recently moved and am not totally established in the new city so I have the opportunity to change how the new people I come into contact with see me. How I portray myself.

Reputation is a big deal to me. Not necessarily having a perfect one but just being aware of how my actions effect what my reputation will be.

So that leads me to today’s big idea. Center and build your reputation around the person you want to be known as! If you want to be known as the the coder build that reputation. If you want to be known as the go to photographer start building up that portfolio. See you are in charge of what you put out into the world. If all you put out there is that you like video games and to take naps, don’t expect your dreams to just show up on your door step. You have to build it just like all the people you look up to did before you.

There’s nothing stopping you from taking the first step toward the things you want except yourself. So start building that reputation today. Otherwise you might look back 5 -10 years from now and wonder why you waited so long.
